Bass lessons in
The Hague.
Alongside drum lessons we now teach bass guitar too. One fixed lesson afternoon a week with Costas in Studio 14, in Loosduinen, with the same approach as our drum lessons: personal, calm and without pressure to perform. And because you learn in a drum studio, from lesson one it is about what makes bass the most fun: groove, timing and playing together.

Who are bass
lessons for?
Children from about 8
Physically the bass is a bigger instrument than it looks. The school's loaner bass is a short-scale, so it works for children's hands too; in the trial lesson we check whether this is a good moment to start.
Adults
Beginners and returners. Bass is a rewarding instrument to pick up later in life: you are soon playing along with real songs.
Drummers
Students of the drum school who want to get to know the other half of the rhythm section. Groove and timing come from both sides.
Nothing to

Costas teaches the bass lessons on Thursday afternoon in Studio 14. Everything you need for the lesson is already there; if you have your own bass, feel free to bring it.

A fixed lesson time
After that you choose a fixed weekly or bi-weekly lesson time on Thursday afternoon. That slot is yours, with the same teacher every week.

A fixed monthly fee, 36 lessons a year, cancel monthly. No separate price list, no small print.

Frequently asked questions
about bass lessons.
From what age can my child take bass lessons?
Usually from around age 8, depending on hand size and concentration. In the free trial lesson we check together whether the bass already fits and whether this is a good moment to start. You don't need to bring anything: the school's loaner bass is a short-scale Squier Bronco, which suits children's hands much better than a full-size bass.
Do I need my own bass guitar?
No. A short-scale Squier Bronco is ready in the lesson room until you have your own, with a dedicated Orange Crush bass amp and a tuner. If you want to practise at home, Costas will help you choose one; a second-hand bass is often perfectly fine.
What do bass lessons cost?
Exactly the same as drum lessons: a fixed monthly fee for weekly or bi-weekly lessons of 30, 45 or 60 minutes. VAT-free under 21. The first lesson is a free 30-minute trial. The full price list is on the pricing page.
When are bass lessons?
On Thursday afternoon, in Studio 14 at Popradar Loosduinen. The lesson slots are being scheduled now and go online soon. Bass is a small branch next to our drum lessons, so places are limited: put yourself on the list and we will contact you before it goes online.
Can I combine bass with drum lessons?
Yes. Bass and drums together form the rhythm section, and drummers who add bass quickly learn to listen to groove and timing in a new way. Mention it at the trial lesson and we will see what fits.
