Q: How is the tuition fee calculated?

We work with a simple and fair system. You get 36 lessons per year, spread over 12 months. This way you pay the same amount every month — even during school holidays. We follow the school holidays of primary schools in The Hague. We are closed for 12 weeks per year during those holidays, plus 4 extra buffer weeks spread throughout the year. That means: 36 lesson weeks per year. The cost of those 36 lessons is divided over 12 months. This gives you a fixed amount per month and you don't have to think about which months have lessons and which don't. Are you younger than 21? Then you don't pay VAT. Are you 21 or older? Then 21% VAT is added. No hidden costs, no surprises.

Q: Can I book a single lesson?

Single lessons are possible for existing students if there is availability. They cost the regular lesson rate + €2.50 administration fee. For new students, we recommend starting with a free trial lesson.

Who are the drum lessons for?

For everyone from approximately 6 years old. Whether you're picking up a drumstick for the first time or have been playing for years — you're welcome. We adapt our lessons to your level and what you want to learn.  We also have extensive experience with neurodiverse students and people with physical or mental challenges. If you're unsure whether drum lessons are right for you, come by for a trial lesson. We'll look together at what's possible and what you need.

How long is a trial lesson and how do I book one?

A trial lesson lasts 30 minutes and is free. You'll meet one of our teachers, try out drumming and get a feel for the space and approach. You can book a trial lesson via the form on our website or by sending us a message.

Question 3

Do I need anything for the trial lesson?

Accepted Answer

No, not necessarily. We have drum kits in the studio and you can borrow sticks during the trial lesson.  If you already have your own drumsticks, feel free to bring them. The same goes for hearing protection — if you have it, use it. But if you don't have anything yet, that's fine. We have sticks and other accessories for sale in the studio if you want to continue after the trial lesson.

From what age can children take drum lessons?

Children can start drum lessons from approximately 6 years old. But what "can" means differs per child. During the trial lesson we'll look together at whether it's a good time to start, or whether it might be wiser to wait another six months.

Can I stay during my child's lesson as a parent?

You're certainly welcome to stay during the trial lesson. For regular lessons, it depends on your child's age and what feels comfortable for both of you. Young children sometimes like having a parent nearby. Older children often prefer to have their lesson independently.

We work with monthly subscriptions. The price depends on the lesson duration and your age (under 21 years VAT exemption applies).  Weekly lessons: • 30 min: €79.50/month (<21 years) | €96.25/month (21+) • 45 min: €119.50/month (<21 years) | €144.50/month (21+)  Bi-weekly: • 30 min: €47.50/month (<21 years) | €57.50/month (21+) • 45 min: €71.00/month (<21 years) | €86.00/month (21+)  You pay monthly via iDEAL. Is there a notice period?

Yes. During the first month you can cancel without a notice period. After that, a notice period of one calendar month applies.  This means: if you cancel on March 15th, for example, your subscription continues until the end of April. You can cancel via email or WhatsApp.  If things are financially tight or if something else is going on, let us know. We'd rather find a solution together than have you stop.
